There is a series of brochures that NZALT is producing to promote and help Learning Languages in schools around New Zealand. There will be other topics available as time progresses. Your Regional Officer has copies of these for your school. 1500 were produced.
Languages in Aotearoa Paper
The Royal Society, in collaboration with other Learning Languages interest groups including NZALT, has produced a paper to go before Parliament promoting the need for a National Languages Policy.

Ministry of Education Brochures
In 2011 the Ministry of Education has produced two brochures to promote Learning Languages.

Support for new NCEA implementation and Course Endorsement conditions
In January 2011, when the new interact standard was about to be introduced at Level 1, a panel of teachers led by Gunhild Litwin, prepared this support material. It contains valuable background information to the new standards and tasks that teachers can use with their students. If you intend using this resource please consult with the latest NCEA guidelines and documents.
